Coming out of the ID@Xbox Showcase, developer Rockfish Games has announced that Everspace 2 is set to launch on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S on August 15th and will launch day and date on Game Pass, plus a physical edition is on the way and is scheduled to launch on October 3rd which alongside the game will also come with a steel book, a 64-page art book, and a digital soundtrack.

Everspace 2 first launched PC via early access on  SteamGOG, and Microsoft Store on January 18th, 2021, with a full release on the platform coming more than two years later this past April on the 6th. The console versions will feature 60 fps support, with PS5 players able to use the DualSense’s haptic feedback, adaptive triggers, and built-in speaker features in the game.

“With space adventure games getting more attention than ever, we’re excited to bring Everspace 2 to whole new audiences on Xbox and PlayStation this August,” Rockfish Games CEO Michael Schade said in a press release.

“The two years we spent in Early Access when developing for our PC launch has served us well in the lead-up to our release on consoles, and we’ve used the last few months well, polishing an already rock-solid foundation. Xbox Series, and PS5 players can look forward to exploring the star systems, Everspace 2 supporting 60 frames per second, when we launch later this summer.”
