In keeping with my recent beat of Pokémon collaboration news, here’s some from a frequent collaborator. Razer has once again partnered with the Tokyo-based multi-disciplinary manager of all things Pokémon, The Pokémon Company, for a line of the latest models of some of their most-loved computer peripherals adorned with two of the most popular Pokémon.
Sadly for us Canadians, the Razer X Pokémon Pikachu & Eevee Collection appears to be available today, but not yet in Canada.
The new collection refreshingly breaks away from Razer’s signature move of wrapping a single special-edition image across a line of devices — in this case, hand-drawn representations of Pikachu and Eevee appear in several creative areas of this line.
Razer Kraken V4 X – Pikachu & Eevee Edition
Razer’s flagship wired gaming headset gets a real big dose of cute with this muted, two-tone pink design that features Pikachu and Eevee outlines on the insides of the cups, as well as the sleeping Pokémon towered along the headband.
Razer Ornata V3 Tenkeyless – Pikachu & Eevee Edition
Razer has actually gone pretty hard on the collab, wrapping the Razer Ornata V3 Tenkeyless with four different images.
You’ve got the leaves and yellow daisies beside the “Escape” button. The arrow section gets the leaves and flowers with Eevee in action and Pikachu sleeping. The “Enter” get’s three profile drawings for both Pokémon. And finally, the wrist guard gets the full sleeping image.
This is some of Razer’s best collab work in a while.
Razer Cobra – Pikachu & Eevee Edition
Slightly falling into their old ways, Razer’s Cobra wrap adopts the Pokémon in action image from the Razer Ornata V3 Tenkeyless – Pikachu & Eevee Edition’s arrow keys, but it does split it up and blow it up, which is a nice touch.
Razer Gigantus V2 – Medium – Pikachu & Eevee Edition
Finally, bring the whole collection together in a big way by bringing the Pokémon during sleep image front and centre of a very large mouse mat.
