After Zenless Zone Zero‘s 1.0 release, Tower of Fantasy developer Hotta studio and its publisher Perfect World Games announced Neverness to Everness for PC, PS5, and mobile platforms, including iOS and Android.
Unlike Hoyoverse’s latest offering, the upcoming game is an open-world game set in a “supernatural urban” setting. No release date was listed, but pre-registration is available on its website. Neverness to Everness is being developed in Unreal Engine and NVIDIA DLSS, which let the game utilize rendering and ray tracing technology. The game will also use Virtualized Geometry systems, which are set to “significantly elevate the realism of each scene” to its anime-looking aesthetics.
Players will find themselves in the expansive supernatural metropolis of Hethereau as they team up with a group of characters who have a variety of esper abilities, which will help as things get a little crazier and become the new normal in “the everyday life of this new city.”
“Neverness to Everness unfolds in a unique world where the ordinary and extraordinary coexist—a city teeming with anomalies and humans alike. As players, you will make a grand entrance into this city, employing your extraordinary Esper abilities to navigate and tackle the unexpected anomalies that await. Neverness to Everness also offers a variety of lifestyles for the players to choose from: modify sports cars, manage businesses, etc., and experience a vibrant urban life in the way you like,” Neverness to Everness‘ overview describes.
While going through the game’s campaign will be an adventure on its own, Neverness to Everness has some GTA influence as players can buy sports cars, letting them modify them and race them through Hethereau’s streets. More urban activities was teased, but little is known beyond the initial announcement.
