After a beta test earlier this year, we’ve gotten our first good look at the world of Harry Potter in the upcoming sports-like game Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions.
Quidditch has always been a fan favourite for readers and movie fans alike, and Warner Bros. Games hopes that the multiplayer title will capture gamers’ imaginations and interest as well.
With a mix of moments from the films and some in-game action, look at the new “Magic is in the Air” trailer below.
The trailer feels like an old-school movie trailer with a voice-over explaining what’s in store for players. Of note, you can create your own Quidditch player or play as the iconic characters from the Harry Potter franchise.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions and Hogwarts Legacy
The end of the trailer also shows off some rewards coming to players who own last year’s colossal release, Hogwarts Legacy. Players will need to connect their WB accounts to both games, and then they’ll get a series of rewards from what’s called the Bonus Legacy Pack. This will include skin for Slytherin companion Sebastian Sallow, his wand, a new emblem, and a Moontrimmer Broom Skin.
Harry Potter: Quidditch Champions will be released on Xbox, Steam, and the Epic Games Store in September and will be part of the PlayStation Plus catalogue.
A physical release of the game will also be available later this year on November 8th, and the Switch version will be available “this holiday season.”
