Good Games Group Formed From Former Humble Games Staff

Per GameDeveloper, Humble Games staff have joined Good Games Group, which comprises former Humble Games staff.

Alan Patmore and Mark Nash founded Good Games and signed a new deal as a publisher which will support Humble.
“I’m thrilled to announce the official launch of Good Games Group, a new indie game publisher with a mission to bring creative and compelling gaming experiences to players everywhere.

As a team of former Humble Games leaders, we’re drawing on our years of industry experience as both developers and publishers to help shape the future of indie gaming,” says Paymore on LinkedIn.

With Ziff David and Humble Games, Good Games Group will handle previously released titles and continue to support the games and developers.

In July, Humble Games announced a restructuring that resulted in the layoff of all 36 staff. The shake-up at Humble Games left developers like Squid Shock Studios reeling. Having just launched Bō: Path of the Teal Lotus to success, they were caught in the crosshairs of a bad situation.

Squid Shock would launch a Patreon to keep themselves going while trying to understand what was happening.

Alan Patmore and Mark Nash left in July as part of the restructuring, and The Powell Group was brought in to assist with Humble Games helping developers.
