Dying Light 2: Stay Human - The Breach

User-Created Content Mode ‘The Breach’ Comes To Dying Light 2: Stay Human

Four years after its initial launch, Dying Light 2: Stay Human is still parkouring its way forward, introducing a new content mode with its own roadmap.

“The Breach” is a new user-created content stream now available across all platforms as a free update for all Dying Light 2: Stay Human owners.

It works in two ways: First, offering maps and missions created by members of the community that have been selected and finessed by members of Techland’s development team. However, they have also given a select few creators who have wowed the dev team with new ideas free rein to create and share.

The goal of the game’s roadmap is to deliver high-quality content each week, including new challenges for players. It all gets underway today with Survival Archives. Tolga and Fatin return to tear the fabric of the universe, unleashing handpicked maps ranging from co-developed scenarios polished alongside the studio to raw community submissions that take the world in unexpected directions.

It also includes a full quality-of-life update from the studio that makes the game’s opening hours fairer for those just deciding to jump in now, while making the game more visually stunning for us all.

Visual and lighting upgrades have been made to environment elements, cutscene lighting, and overall colour balance to improve immersion and bring the tone closer to the broader Dying Light universe.

Keeping things community-based, a wide range of community-reported issues have also received some love and support.

“At Techland, we’ve always looked for new ways to innovate, and we see tremendous potential in UGC (user-generated content). By providing players with the right framework and tools, we’re enabling them to create and share new experiences within the world of Dying Light 2: Stay Human,” says Rafał Polito, UGC program manager.

Dying Light 2: Stay Human has been hanging from ledges and batting zombies away since 2022.
