Marvelous USA, Inc. and XSEED Games have revealed that they are shifting their strategic organization and publishing practices in the West.
According to a press release detailing the new structure, XSEED Games will continue to “discover and publish third-party titles, such as past breakout indie hits Potionomics and Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin, and upcoming titles The Big Catch and Moonlight Peaks.”
Marvelous USA will charge Marvelous games, including Story of Seasons and Rune Factory titles. Also, Marvelous USA will provide business, operational, and marketing support to Marvelous Inc.’s arcade business unit, which includes the West’s Naruto Emblem Battle.
“Marvelous is taking a more holistic view as it grows its Western footprint, presenting owned IPs through a singular global brand,” the company said. “The changes strengthen the organization as it moves forward with a larger, more ambitious scope of development and budgets.”
“The distinction further allows Xseed Games to pursue titles with more freedom as it continues the legacy of discovering and publishing third-party gems from around the world, now with a more focused approach.”
