Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game Unveils Patch 4, Nintendo Switch 2 Release Date And Esports Partnership

Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is punching above the level of the Avatar when it comes to updates.

Today, Gameplay Group International and Paramount Games Studio are proud to launch their fourth patch, “Avatar State,” bringing the game closer to completion than ever.

The absolutely terrifying Avatar State Aang and Nightmare Korra have been redrawn and rebuilt from the ground up, with additional attacks and new super techniques that change how they play. However, the game also features a complete character rebalance.

But it’s not just Aang and Kora who have received a facelift. In fact, the entire experience has been updated for higher visual fidelity, with upgrades to character select, stage select, the in-match HUD and every screen in between. And everything now better aligns with the show’s legendary Western anime aesthetic.

Stages Avatar Road and Air Temple Island are now available to play at all times, no longer just part of Story Mode.

Speaking of Story Mode, jump back in with Story Mode+, expanded Arcade content, and beginner-friendly Lobbies.

For those past the beginner stage, competitive play returns rebuilt, with a ranked ladder built for the long climb, plus Spectating.

Whether you are jumping in for the first time or the 1,000th, new tutorials and Combo Trials break the game down step by step.

Finally, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game is going esports. Promoters Tampa Never Sleeps will see us all waking up to a weekly series of online tournaments. Notable Fighting Game Community personalities will host each tournament, with a $5,000 USD prize pool up for grabs.
