Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter, the follow-up to last year’s excellent Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter, has revealed a first look at the upcoming launch editions ahead of its Fall 2026 release window. GungHo Online Entertainment America detailed all the new versions of the game, with the Golden Wings Edition acting as the game’s Collector’s Edition.
The Golden Wings Edition has plenty of awesome-looking goodies for huge fans, including:
- Standard Edition of the game, along with a Steelbook
- ‘Glorious x Arseille’ Model Diorama
- Artbook
- Mini Soundtrack CD
- Collector’s Box
- Season Pass – cosmetic DLC
The Golden Wings edition will run fans $274.99 USD for Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch, with the Nintendo Switch 2 version running $279.99. You can pre-order it here until March 8th.
The standard edition will run pre-orders later in the year, with the game costing $59.99 USD for Steam, PS5, and Switch. The Nintendo Switch 2 version will run $64.99 USD, with a $4.99 upgrade pack for original Switch owners looking to upgrade. A deluxe edition is on the way as well, including the cosmetic Season Pass.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter sees Esetelle Bright return, adventuring across Liberl to learn why Joshua disappeared while simultaneously working to stop Ouroboros’ plans for the country.
Having previously stopped a coup d’état in Liberl, Estelle and Joshua were promoted to senior bracers in their guild. During a celebration on the eve of the Queen’s Birthday festival, Joshua explains his past to Estelle before disappearing into the night. Now, with Joshua’s harmonica, Estelle heads out to find her friend, which leads her to cross paths with the Ouroboros society as it continues to plague Liberl.
It’s set to launch in Fall 2026.
