Nintendo dropped a new Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave trailer during the Nintendo Direct today, along with a September release date.
Set in an arena, you partake in the Heroic Games. While there seems to be a departure in setting, Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave retains many themes and elements from previous games. The upcoming tactical turn-based game in the iconic franchise continues to look fantastic, as you battle through a coliseum.
The Heroic Games happen within the Dagdan Empire, a place ruled by gods, where the winner of the contest earns one wish. Fighters from all over flock to the games to have their wish fulfilled.
You play as Cai, a boy determined to save his imprisoned father; Dietrich, a swordsman searching for strong enemies; Theodora, a queen looking to fulfill a dream of her home; and Leda, a musician with dreams of revenge.
Between matches, you explore Dagda and its capital city of Dagsion. You learn techniques, hone skills, recruit allies, and build bonds. Going beyond the Dagsion wall lets you earn experience and grow stronger. You have free time to do as you wish.
The release date was also unveiled, joining a very stacked September with a release on September 17, 2026.
