PlayStation 5

You Can Sign Up for a Chance to Pre-order PlayStation 5

I’m already over next-gen consoles. It’s been a horrible game of chicken between both Xbox and PlayStation, each waiting to see if the other one plans on revealing a price. For months now, all anyone who has any interest in this wanted to know, is how much money it would cost to buy into the next generation of consoles.

With three months until Christmas, we’re at a point now that if I don’t see a real price listing, I’m not upgrading. At this point, I’d rather the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 be delayed because of their ineptitude on delivering pricing. I’m not going in with blind faith here because it’s proven me wrong before.

So, seeing this PlayStation 5 registration page appear sounds exciting, except when you learn about what it is, the hype is quickly deflated. Sony has opened up registration to pre-order PlayStation 5 without listing a price, and Sony wants only the most faithful to sign up on this page here, because of how limited the console will be at launch.

To confirm, if you are selected, you’ll be sent an email with instructions on how to pre-order the PlayStation 5. It’s essentially a lottery system and I hate that this is what we’ve come to in order to purchase a new console.

And, if you’re chosen you can only order the following:

  • 1 PS5 Console or 1 PS5 Digital Edition
  • 2 DualSense wireless controllers
  • 2 DualSense charging stations
  • 2 Pulse 3D wireless headsets
  • 2 Media remotes
  • 2 HD Cameras

All without knowing how much the price of admission for the console is. I feel this is bad business and it’s deterring me from even being excited anymore.
