Windswept is Heading to PC and Consoles on November 11

Publisher Top Hat Studios has announced that developer WeatherFell’s upcoming platformer, Windswept, will launch for PC via Steam, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch on November 11th. The news was revealed alongside the game’s release date trailer.

Windswept is a love letter to 90s collectathon platformers. The game will see players control Marbles and Checkers, who are lost after being swept up in a storm and try to make their way back home. The developer is looking to honour Windswept’s inspirations by harkening back to an era when players only had a game manual with a couple of pages to get through the game. At the start of the game, those looking to pick up the game will learn every ability, but after that, you’re all on your own to figure out the  game’s obstacles and if you dare find all of its collectables  across 40+stages and any bonus challenges you’ll find along the way

“Making your way home will be tough, and you’ll need to keep trying until you get the hang of things—but for those who find it a walk in the park, there’s plenty of hidden challenges along the way to test you. Marbles and Checkers each have unique abilities, but that won’t always be enough to overcome specialized challenges. Mix ‘n’ match different techniques to play your own way. You may surprise yourself with what you’re capable of,” Windswept’s description reads on its Steam page.
