Ubisoft decided to skip E3 this year before the significant event was ultimately cancelled due to a lack of support from developers. Instead, the French publisher announced Ubisoft Forward 2023, which will air today, June 12, at 1 PM ET.
Assassin’s Creed Mirage will be there, as also Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. We can also expect a few surprises!
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Kicking off the show is a look at Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora with a message from James Cameron, Ditte Deenfeldt, game director at Ubisoft Massive.
Set in the never-before-seen Western Frontier of Pandora, you play as a child of two worlds, born Na’vi but raised by the RDA. Fifteen years later, you are free but find yourself a stranger in your birthplace. Reconnect with your lost heritage, discover what it truly means to be Na’vi, and join other clans to protect Pandora from the RDA.
XDefiant
Ubisoft’s Mark Rubin from the San Francisco studio showcased player reactions to Xdefiant. The community has been the game’s core, with over 28 betas to develop, listen to, and respond to feedback from players. Over one million million players have shared footage and feedback to make Xdefiant what it is.
There will be one more test before Xdefiant launches this summer. Open beta begins June 21 to June 23 on Xbox Series, PlayStation 5, and PC.
A six-week preseason kicks off this summer with 14 maps, five factions, five modes, and 24 weapons before year one kicks off and adds four new factions, 12 new weapons, and 12 new maps.
Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown
Mounir Radi, the game director at Ubisoft Montpellier, joined the stage to announce a new chapter for the series Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown. Ubisoft is restructuring the series as Metroidvania, filled with 2.5D maps and hidden secrets to discover. You’ll explore the Citadel of Knowledge to the colourful Hyrcanian Forest; you’ll explore many places inspired by Persian mythology. Ubisoft says you’ll face off against Jahandar, the Manticore, and many other enemies.
Play as Sargon and evolve from sword-wielding prodigy to extraordinary legend as you master acrobatic combat and unlock new Time Powers and unique super abilities.

Adi Shankar of Castlevania fame joined the stage to discuss Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix. It is an original anime featuring alter egos of Ubisoft characters in a highly referenced homage to the early 90s.
Shankar confirmed the spin-off of Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon will launch in Fall 2023 on Netflix.
The Division: Resurgence
The Division Resurgence is a free-to-play third-person shooter RPG set in a shared MMO open world. It takes place in a contemporary post-crisis New York City after a virus outbreak has created chaos and the collapse of the American government. In this whole new spectacular experience of the Division creatively crafted for mobile, you embody an agent of the « Strategic Homeland Division,» your mission is to restore order, combat hostile factions, protect civilians and help them build a better future.
