Apple Arcade’s Warped Kart Racers Let’s You Race As Your Favourite Fox Character
Launching today on Apple Arcade, Warped Kart Racers is a 3D, old-fashioned, high-octane go-kart racer developed by Electric Square where you take on one of several characters from a menagerie of the top animated shows on television and streaming services.
Players can select characters from 20th Television’s roster of shows, including “American Dad!,” “Family Guy,” “King of the Hill,” and new fan favourite “Solar Opposites.”
For those looking to play with friends with disabilities or children, though there are probably not many children watching these shows, Warped Kart Racers supports Apple‘s newly-launch Buddy Controller framework, which was unveiled this week with a number of other accessibility options across the company’s products and services as part of May 19th’s Global Accessibility Awareness Day.
Buddy Controller works much in the same way as Microsoft’s Co-Pilot mode, which allows controllers to work in tandem so that a friend, personal support person or parent can assist in accessible gaming and comradery.
On that last point, having more games that support Buddy Controller and Co-Pilot allows children and all persons with disabilities to feel included without removing the controller from them entirely and thus, removing autonomy.
Finding a personal balance to Buddy Controller is sure to add an exciting extra layer to games like Warped Kart Racers for groups of gamers!
