A stylish sci-fi and fantasy JRPG is just a few days away from its debut on consoles. Virgo Versus The Zodiac began as an RPG Maker project years ago and was initially released on Steam and PC in 2019.
Playing as an “obsessed villain” trying to restore a Golden Age for the galaxy, the game will take you through an original setting that brings anime styles, pixelated aesthetics, and an astrological zodiac. The announcement trailer below shows off many great action and cutscenes throughout the adventure, while battles consist of turn-based and precision timing mechanics.
Virgo Versus The Zodiac will present players with many options to follow the Dreadful Queen’s fate or change her destiny. This will not only shift how the story moves along, but it could also change the ending.
Developer Moonana has crafted nine regions to explore, over 40 enemy types and 102 skills that can be used and mastered. These have been in the game since its initial release, but console players will have new modes and options.
A Boss Rush Mode tests the player’s combat mastery in a gauntlet of encounters against the game’s bosses.” Then, “New Zodiac Memories content that sheds additional light on your fellow Zodiacs. Each features new areas, story beats, enemies, and mechanics.”
