Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2

Check Out An Extended Look at Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2

We’re finally getting a closer and more detailed look at what Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has in store for us when it finally releases.

The game has hit several snags during development, with delays pushing it back year after year, including team leads being removed from the project mid-development.

With all of that, hopefully in the past, today we’re able to see some extended gameplay and hear from the dev team themselves about some story beats, lore, and gameplay choices.

Both the gameplay trailer and the extended deep dive with members of  The Chinese Room team place you in the shoes of Phyre. She’s attempting to figure out why there’s a peculiar mark on her hand and how it is limiting her powers.

Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2 has you play as a vampire in first-person, choosing how to approach combat and dialogue opportunities.

This is evident in the character of Phyre herself and what her choices mean to the broader world and story: “Acting as ‘The Sheriff’ of the Court, Phyre’s choices impact how the world perceives them and bring them closer to uncovering Seattle’s secrets.”

In the extended look above, the gameplay reveals some minor spoilers in the early part of the game and takes your character into strange places with surreal visuals and set pieces. The combat also shows off some slick and speedy moves that will have you dispatching enemies in many different ways.

There are several clans in Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2, each with their own disciplines and exploration options. The Chinese Room says more details about what they are and how they differ will be revealed in the coming months.

The game has no confirmed release date, but it is set to be released on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation.
