Valiant Universe

Valiant Comics Is Working On Video Games Based Off Their IPs

Valiant Entertainment announced a new partnership with Blowfish Studios, who will create video games from the Valiant Superhero Universe. Valiant is the third-largest connected universe in comics, behind Marvel and DC. DMG Entertainment acquired Valiant in 2018 and has been hard at work establishing new and ambitious plans for expansion, which includes video games and film, with next year including Vin Diesel as Bloodshot.

I’m not completely sold on Bloodshot just yet, the trailer left more to be desired with the special effects failing to impress. Coming off Marvel’s success, it’s an uphill battle for any company looking to get into the industry with their IPs, but I could very well be wrong.

Dan Mintz, the CEO of DMG Entertainment is certainly excited by the news:

“We’re thrilled to bring Valiant’s characters back into the video game industry and give fans the opportunity to play as their favourite superheroes,” said Dan Mintz, Founder and CEO of DMG Entertainment. “Translating these characters and stories to video games could not come at a more exciting time as we introduce the world to the Valiant Universe on the big screen with the Bloodshot release. These games are poised to become further proof of these characters’ immense potential as anchors in pop culture.”

Valiant is keeping busy with multiple projects in the works, including Harbinger with Paramount Studios and Quantum & Woody, a television series to be produced by the Russo Brothers. Valiant’s publishing reports a 10% rise in sales, with six of their titles hitting the top 100.
