While some professional esports mainstays are currently arguing about the value of real-time analytical data for their players, Ubisoft has been quietly partnering up with Aim Lab to continue providing Rainbow Six Siege players with every opportunity to grow and develop in the community, challenger and pro scene.
Since 2018, Aim Lab – which is totally not at all related to the evil organization from the MCU – has been providing FPS players with a highly-custom training tool for free on Steam.
Aim Lab defines itself as being “the ultimate training solution for players of first-person and third-person shooters, blending cutting-edge performance tracking and analytics with artificial intelligence and machine learning to make players better, faster.” OK, that description kind of sounds like something an evil Marvel organization would do!

This new partnership with Ubisoft brings Rainbow Six Siege players the ability to load into recreations of “Oregon” and “Clubhouse” with training dummies and a whole selection of in-game weapons to help develop simple skills like recoil control and entry fragging. But there are also high-level tutorials for things like movement patterns and environmental strategies.
“Aim Lab is excited to develop the official training programs to help Rainbow Six Siege players of all levels master core skills and compete at the highest levels,” said Dr. Wayne Mackey, founder of Aim Lab. “Our goal is to deliver a fun and engaging experience while helping players win even more ranked matches.” And the Rainbow Six Siege development team says that they hope “this is a great opportunity for players to grow with a tool recognized as the ultimate FPS/TPS training program for gamers of all levels and is a step forward in terms of players’ skills in-game. We are happy and excited by this new collaboration, and we hope our players will enjoy it as well!”
Now, you’re probably saying to yourself, that’s great! But do I get anything aside from a fun training experience?
The answer is yes! During the partnership period starting on PC this summer, players who download and use Aim Lab will receive a free Aim Lab weapon skin.
Stay tuned for more details and an announcement on when Aim Lab will be available for Rainbow Six Siege on consoles.
