Ubisoft Details Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Post-Launch Plans

Ubisoft announced the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla post-launch plan, and that includes two story expansions that will be included as part of the Season Pass, we’ve learned. In the video below, the producers working on Valhalla talk about the two paid expansions but also confirm that players will have access to free seasonal content, including “including in-game events and festivals, new settlement buildings, services and games modes.”

Ubisoft also confirmed that there will be a Discovery Tour mode returning, a feature that began in Assassin’s Creed Origins and has allowed players, students, and teachers to learn more about the ancient worlds featured in each game. Ubisoft confirms it will arrive in 2021.

The Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Season Pass is included in the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Gold, Ultimate and Collector Editions and is available for purchase separately for $49.99. There are two paid expansions: Wrath of the Druids which is aiming for a Spring 2021 launch and The Siege of Paris, which is expected to launch in Summer 2021.

In Wrath of the Druids, you’ll travel to Ireland and uncover a mysterious druidic cult, hunting them down one by one. This expansion will focus on Gaelic myths and folklore, and you’ll need to fight through haunted forest and iconic Irish landscapes.

Summer 2021 will have players exploring the Siege of Paris, one of the Viking’s most historic battles on record. Players will explore a war-torn Frankia and infiltrate the fortified city of Paris and the River Seine while uncovering enemy secrets and form new alliances.

Ubisoft is also introducing Season 1, which begins in December 2020. There will be a new settlement area and you can grow your base even further. There’s a traditional Viking festival: the Yule Festival to experience. A new game mode called River Raids which focuses on the raid mechanics of the series to deliver replayable raids.  Ranks for Jomsviking: in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla players can not only create their lieutenant to be part of their raiding crew, but also recruit some from their friends and the community. Season 1 will also offer new gear, new player skills, new weapons and more for the settlement, horses, and raven.

Season 2 will launch in March 2021 with a new game mode that builds on Valhalla’s core combat experiences, a new Jomsviking update, festivals in the Settlement, new gear and cosmetic items, and more. More information about Season 3 and 4 will be come at a later time.
