Yesterday we spoke briefly about the new patch Ubisoft was releasing to prepare for The Hidden Ones DLC that is now confirmed to arrive next week, January 23. However, if you’re on Xbox One, you may have already gotten a chance to play it early.
As the latest patch went live this morning, The Hidden Ones has released accidentally and because it was, a select few were able to grab the content and begin playing it a week early. The story content takes place roughly four years after we last saw Bayek, and takes place in the new region, Sinai. As well as a new level cap of 45, Bayek will gain new weapons and new outfits.

Speaking to Kotaku, Ubisoft confirmed the flub:
“Earlier today, The Hidden Ones DLC was unintentionally made available early for some Xbox One players. We have removed the DLC from the game store, however players who already downloaded the DLC are still able to play it. These players will now be known as “The Lucky Ones.” The Hidden Ones DLC will be available for all season pass owners or can be purchased separately for $9.99 on January 23rd.”
As with early leaks, players are warned to be vigilant on spoilers, as there are new story missions and a new region to explore. This is a time to go dark if you’re wary of spoilers, but if you aren’t then you’re fine and only have to wait a week to get to play.
