Gamers Are Socializing A Lot On Twitter This Year

Twitter has recently dropped the analytics for their social media platform pertaining to gaming mentions and discussions between Jan 1 and June 30, 2022. Across the globe, and in the first half of 2022, there were approximately 1.5 BILLION Tweets to do with gaming. That represents a 30 percent increase year-over-year

The list of games most tweeted about by Canadian users proves that mobile gaming has an audience here — as Genshin Impact and Wordle led the discussions. The top-10 list is as follows:

This list pretty much aligns with the overall most talked about games worldwide.

  • Genshin Impact (@GenshinImpact)
  • Wordle
  • Ensemble Stars! (@ensemble_stars)
  • Final Fantasy (@FinalFantasy)
  • Project Sekai (@pj_sekai)
  • Apex Legends (@PlayApex)
  • Elden Ring (@ELDENRING)
  • Fate/Grand Order (fgoproject)
  • Final Fantasy XIV (@FF_XIV_EN)
  • Valorant (@PlayVALORANT)

Surprisingly, Canada is not on the list of countries talking the most about gaming on “The Bird App.” However, there’s an exciting trend in that South American countries Brazil and Mexico have been moving up the list for several years now.

  • Japan 🇯🇵
  • United States 🇺🇸
  • South Korea 🇰🇷
  • Thailand 🇹🇭
  • Indonesia 🇮🇩
  • Brazil 🇧🇷
  • Philippines 🇵🇭
  • India 🇮🇳
  • United Kingdom 🇬🇧
  • Mexico 🇲🇽
