Twisted Metal

Twisted Metal Sets Audience Record For Peacock

Since its arrival on Peacock on July 27, the PlayStation Productions television series Twisted Metal has proven popular amongst viewers.

According to NBCUniversal, Twisted Metal is Peacock’s most binged comedy premiere to date, with the average account watching three episodes per sitting while others watched the entirety in one sitting. Each episode is roughly 30 minutes, and the entire series is ten episodes.

While no specifics were shared, Twisted Metal is one of Peacock’s top five original series, joining Bel Air, The Best Man: Final Chapters, Poker Face, and Based on a True Story.

Nielsen data indicates that the series starring Anthony Mackie and Stephanie Beatriz drew 400M viewing minutes on the weekend following July 27. The cast is rounded out with Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett and Joe Seanoa: Neve Campbell, Richard Cabral, Mike Mitchell, Tahj Vaughans, and Lou Beatty Jr.

As Hollywood enters the 100th day of the Writers Guild of America and SAG-AFTRA strike, no news has been said about a potential second season. Still, there does seem to be a lot of goodwill regarding the series from Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the duo known for Zombieland and Deadpool. Hopefully, scribe Michael Jonathan Smith will return for a second season alongside Asad Qizilbash, Carter Swan from PlayStation Productions, and Hermen Hulst, Head of PlayStation Studios.
