It’s Halloween 2020, and instead of giving out candy this year, you can sit comfortably on your couch and dig into season six of the Trick or Treat event for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare-WARZONE. This season, The Haunting of Verdansk Descends Upon Warzone. Join horror film classics, Leatherface and Jigsaw, as their universes have meshed with Modern Warfare multiplayer rewards, game modes, and battlegrounds.
During this event, there will be a special trick or treat reward system. This system will distribute certain Supply Boxes which could hold nightmare fuel, or horrifying and unique blueprints and customization tools. You will be able to play at dusk and dawn, with a few game modes making use of a night setting of Verdansk.
Be careful if you go out at night, there are terrible things that hide in the dark. If you haven’t done any zombie-killing this spooky season, now’s your chance, as long as you fancy your odds. No silly, not the kind of odds offered by Bovada, these odds are for your life. Introducing Zombie Royal! The living dead enter the game with mystical powers to drag those on the surface, to their graves in order to grow stronger.
Scattered throughout Verdansk are 16 different crates that will hold event-specific goodies. If you find them all you can unlock the Warzone Pumpkin Punisher; the ultimate slaying device for all hallow’s eve. Snagging this bad boy will let everyone know they’re dealing with the real monster in the night. It even has an evil grin across its body, decked out in bright orange decal it’s the perfect skin for Halloween.
Remember these crates can contain either trick or treat, and there’s no way to know what you are gonna get…unless you follow our instructions very carefully. You can only grab these rewards during official matches, so make sure you are safe before rushing in and getting lit up; missing out on the loot. The locations of the treats aren’t so dead-on, so you will need to do a bit of exploring yourself.

I know you might be thinking, “Hey there are only 15 locations here!” We aren’t here to trick you…the last and final box appears on the train travelling throughout the map. Catch a ride and you’ll find it aboard the vessel.

Bundles
Along with the trick or treat rewards, players will be available to purchase two new Halloween-themed bundles. These are based on the films: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and SAW.
Saw
In this bundle, you will become Billy the Puppet and play as an enemy operator and make your choice of life or death. Included with this is the Phlebotomozier Lethal Equipment piece, a unique throwing knife that will drill into enemies upon contact, sending gallons of blood all over the place. What a nice thought. A few more personalization items are available as well.
The Texas Chainsaw Massacre
Arguably the most iconic villain in the realm of horror and slasher films Leatherface, a psychotic cannibal who tears through his victims with a chainsaw. Pay special attention to these bundles, as you might get a few hints to the true nature of Leatherface. Available is a skin for Velkian, donning the classic villains mask, as well as an LMG blueprint complete with a chainsaw allowing players to live the life of a serial killer in the 1970s. Additionally, this bundle includes a few more blueprints and unique items.
