Toys for Bob reportedly signed a deal with Microsoft to develop games for its former parent studio. Windows Central revealed a finalized agreement with Xbox to fund its first title.
The deal comes weeks after almost 2,000 people were laid off at Microsoft, which left Activision, Blizzard, and various other studios with a lesser headcount.
Toys for Bob announced in January that it was exploring a “possible partnership” with Microsoft.
“While we’re in the early days of developing our next game and a ways away from making any announcements, our team is excited to develop new stories, new characters, and new gameplay experiences,” announced Paul Yan and Avery Lodato, head of the studio.
“Our friends at Activision and Microsoft has been extremely supportive of our new direction and we’re confident that we will continue to work closely together as part of our future.”
Toys for Bob told fans to “keep your horns out,” teasing a potential hint regarding Spyro.
