Exactly three years ago, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 launched on consoles and the Epic Games Store, and while it was once an exclusive for PC, it is finally arriving on Steam.
The remake of one of the best skateboard games of all time was celebrated at launch, and many fans were eager to see more from the series, but Activision had other plans for Vicarious Visions.
On October 3, players can finally experience one of the best-licensed games on their PC or Steam Deck. The Steam description indicates Iron Galaxy is handling this port. Still, it will include “The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the complete Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 Game, ‘The Ripper’ skater from Powell-Peralta, unique retro outfits for Tony Hawk, Steve Caballero and Rodney Mullen, and unique retro content for the Create-A-Skater mode.”
While it is disappointing to know the team that worked on the remakes of Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater & Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 2 have moved on, this culmination of their work is worth experiencing and is the perfect game to usher in a new generation of fans who weren’t around when the original launched.
