Rhianna Pratchett is leaving Crystal Dynamics. The brilliant woman who wrote one of my favourite characters in recent memory is off on another adventure both studio and Pratchett announced today via a blog post on the official Tumblr page.
The announcement was short and sweet:
Tomb Raider franchise. Rhianna was instrumental in helping us find Lara’s voice in the 2013 origin story, and through Rise of the Tomb Raider she shaped Lara into the evolving heroine we know today. The entire team thanks Rhianna for her dedication and tireless efforts on the games. Please join us in wishing Rhianna the absolute best in her next adventure.
On Twitter, Pratchett said her goodbyes and announced she was onto new ventures!
So, I'm packing up my climbing axe plus a little venison jerky for the road, and bidding a fond farewell to Lara. Onwards to new adventures!

Pratchett worked on some bold and exciting games throughout her career thus far and include many titles I’ve played and enjoyed thoroughly which includes Prince of Persia (2008), Overlord II, BioShock Infinite.
Last year she won Outstanding Achievement in Videogame Writing at 68th Writers Guild of America Award ceremony and Outstanding Achievement in Character for Lara Croft at 19th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards 2016/
