The crowd-funded ToeJam & Earl game has been pushed into 2018. Humanature Studios confirmed the news via an update on the game’s Kickstarter page to backers of Back In The Groove.
We tried super hard to get ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove out in 2017. Game development is an inexact science and it’s our priority to deliver the best, most solid game we can. To get the game across the finish line we need to push into 2018, but rest assured we are working our butts off and you guys are going to get an awesome game.
After nearly two decades without these two, the team at Humanature decided to revisit out interstellar friends in 2015, where studio head Greg Johnson confirmed that this game would the “ultimate” sequel. The project went out to hit its goal and even earn more than was asked and Johnson promised stacked, randomly generated levels, and all the old Earthlings and presents, plus a pile of new ones.
ToeJam & Earl: Back in the Groove is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC next year.
