ToeJam and Earl

ToeJam And Earl Are Getting A Movie Now, Too

Per The Hollywood Reporter, it is being reported that the 1990s duo ToeJam and Earl will be making their motion picture debut at Amazon Studios.

ToeJam & Earl, created by Mark Voorsanger and Greg Johnson will also see Stephen Curry’s Unanimous Media and Story Kitchen help bring the duo to the big screen. The two aliens are known for their love of rap and crash-landed on Earth on their way back home to their planet Funkotron.

In 1991, ToeJam and Earl were a success, leading to two sequels — ToeJam and Earl in Panic on Funkotron and ToeJam and Earl III: Mission to Earth. We last saw the pair appear in 2019’s ToeJam and Earl: Back in the Groove.

A story synopsis of the film says: “Earth, their legends tell them, is the Paradise where the music that created their culture originated. Unfortunately for our heroes, not only do they wreck their ship, but they find that Earth is . . . well, not the haven they expected. But the music – that part was true. So begins their quest to find as much of that music as they can in the hope of saving their planet, and maybe ours as well.”
