Showing us a brief look at the new region before introducing Professor Sada and Professor Turo, we see the three new starter Pokémon —Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly.
It is also confirmed that this is an open-world RPG — a first for the series where you can explore at your leisure without story constraints.
From there we see some of the mechanic’s Pokémon Legends Arceus introduced like catching Pokémon in the wild. We get a glimpse of the new UI being used for the pair of titles, your partner following you, a look at the new Pokéstops and lots of familiar favourites(Talonflame, Chewtle, Venonat, Pikachu, Gengar, and Coalossal) in the wild including a coastal beach area, a snowy area, and grassy fields, and caves.
It’s also worth mentioning there seems to be some sort of cooperative mode. One character you can see mentions that “If you connect with friends, you can head out on adventures together — up to four of you at a time.” I’d like to see what Game Freak reveals about this.
The trailer ends with introducing the new Legendary Pokémon who immediately reminds me of Digimon. Their names are Koraidon (Scarlet) and Miraidon (Violet).
Oh and there’s a newly revealed Pokémon named Lechonk, Pawmi, and Smoliv.
Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are set to launch on November 18, 2022, worldwide.
