Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection Sells 1 Million Copies

Konami has revealed that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection has gone and sold one million copies since its launch.

Consisting of 13 of the most iconic Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles games, the bundle launched last year and was received positively then. Since then, Digital Eclipse has worked on improving the bundle with significant updates and even adding online multiplayer for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles IV: Turtles In Time for players to enjoy. Some of the most memorable games from my childhood are a part of this bundle and after diving in, you can see the developers approached this project with a ton of respect for the source material.

Licensed games are a dime a dozen and some are far worse than others. This collection allows newcomers to experience some of the most popular games of the 1990s in a brand-new wrapper with some beautiful new additions. Konami has been surprisingly pretty good at preservation given the route the publisher took several years ago, instead focusing on its pachinko business rather than game development. Thankfully, collections like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection and Castlevania Anniversary Collection, along with Suikoden I & II HD Remaster Gate Rune and Dunan Unification Wars.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection is available on Xbox One, Xbox Series, PS4, PS5, Switch and PC.
