Thunderful World Showcase Airs November 10

Thunderful World

Thunderful Games, the developer behind the SteamWorld series, will host a new digital showcase, Thunderful World next month. The event will begin at 11:00 AM PT/2:00 PM ET. and will be hosted by Mark Hamill.

Mark will be on-hand to reveal new games and announcements from Thunderful. In addition, we’ll get updates on some of the games we’ve seen this summer, including Planet of Lana, and also Cursed to Golf, Firegirl, The Gunk, Source of Madness, Tinkertown, and White Shadows.

Joining Mark, we’ll see Thunderful Group CEO Brjánn Sigurgeirsson and Corporate Vice President at Xbox Sarah Bond.

“Thunderful World is the perfect way for us to reach our existing fans and a global audience as we showcase our growing influence in the games development and publishing industry,” said Thunderful Group CEO Brjann Sigurgeirsson. “When we shared our plans with Mark, he instantly understood our vision and we are delighted he wants to help us share it with the world.”

“Thunderful World? I don’t remember agreeing to promote anything for Thunderful! Though Brjann did leave a book at my house that said something like that…,” said Mark Hamill on hosting the event. “In all seriousness though, when I saw the passion and artistry behind all the incredible games Thunderful are going to present, I was blown away.”

I’m looking forward to seeing more of Planet of Lana and what we can expect of it when it launches. I know the original reveal was something that caught my attention and I’d love to learn more about when we can expect it to launch. Then, The Gunk looks like a fun title that’s coming later in December 2021, I was hoping we’d learn more given it’s supposed to launch in a few months.

“Bold, beautiful, and fun. Those were my first impressions of The Gunk when we first revealed it to the world,” said Sarah Bond, CVP of Game Creator Experience & Ecosystem at Xbox. “I’m so pleased to share more about it at Thunderful World and happy to work with the team to help bring the game exclusively to Xbox and Windows PC, day and date on Game Pass.”.
