Toronto-based Riyo Games is working on Threads of Time, an upcoming turn-based RPG inspired by some of the most iconic games in the genre, including Chrono Trigger.
Threads of Time allows you to assemble a party from various time periods. Together, you work to restore the Order of the Time Knights and defend the timeline from corruption. In this week’s update, Riyo Games introduces Luna, Run and Bo, three characters from different time periods you’ll have join your party.

Luna is from the Middle Ages, specifically 1000 A.D. The 18-year-old is the Fire Mage apprentice to Fontenay, who uses Spark Gloves as weapons and has a fondness for fried shrimp. Her theories regarding time magic might sound crazy, but they could be the secret to uncovering the threatening plot that looks to undo time itself.

Rin is from the future in Threads of Time. From 2400 A.D., she does not look her age of 301. Find this three-tailed kitsune devouring slaying enemies with her signature Katars. The freelance infiltrator can shift between her human and fox forms to get anywhere she needs to go and steal any secrets she wants to know.

Bo is prehistoric! The 35-year-old Guardian-class hero hails from 12 million B.C., where by day he is a dinosaur veterinarian and by night he’s a log-lifting strongman who provides the longhouse with comic relief. Utilizing his Warhammer, his sights are set on saving his dinosaur pals and stopping whatever evil corrupts the timeline.
Threads of Time is coming to Xbox Series and PC.
