THQ Nordic Digital Showcase 2024 Announced for August 2nd

With it now being May, we are getting a better idea of how the summer showcase of events will go as THQ Nordic has officially announced its fourth annual THQ Nordic Digital Showcase event, which is set to go down on August 2.

The actual event is set to start that day at 12 p.m. PT / 3 p.m. ET,  and will be live-streamed on YouTube, Twitch, and Steam, although there is no indication if it will be a “live live” show or pre-recorded, assumedly the latter. The digital showcase will be kicked off with a pre-show hosted by HandyGames, which will show off some other titles before the “main event” of the stream.

THQ Nordic says the main show of the showcase will feature new game announcements and updates on previously announced games, including Gothic Remake and Titan Quest II, with “even some surprises” to come. Looking at THQ Nordic’s upcoming game lineup, there is a good chance that one such “surprise” could be Epic Mickey: Rebrushed and give fans not just another look at the game but a better idea of when exactly the game is coming out this year.

Notably, the early August showcase is scheduled for the first Friday of August which is almost three weeks before Gamescom will happen. Like always the game industry’s biggest trade show will happen in Cologne, Germany and is scheduled for August 21st through the 25th.
