It’s finally coming to the West – Detective Pikachu will launch on March 23, 2018, for the Nintendo 3DS we learned earlier this week. This is one of the oddest Pokémon titles that have come out to date, where a coffee drinking, gun-wielding Pikachu is working with a young boy named Tim who is searching for his father.
Not only are we getting Detective Pikachu the game, but we’re also getting a massive amiibo that will provide in-game hints.
Detective Pikachu launched last year in Japan. Next year will see a live-action version that is currently in the works and will feature Ryan Reynolds as the titular character, however, he has no part in voicing Pikachu in the Nintendo 3DS version.
