I’m excited to see how the collaboration between Nintendo and Lego turns out when the new products launch later this summer. For now, a new video is out today and it focuses on the new swappable outfits for Mario, out the same day at the Starter Pack.
Right away, the costumes should appear familiar as each one is based on a classic costume Mario has worn at some point in his 30-plus career as a plumber and hero. Each outfit comes with its own sounds and includes Fire Mario, Propeller Mario, Cat Mario, and Builder Mario.
Fire Mario throws fireballs at enemies, Propeller Mario collects coin by performing aerial tricks, Cat Mario meows and can climb walls and Builder Mario comes with a pound attack that collects coins.
Each Power-Up pack will be available on August 1 and retail for $9.99 US or roughly $15 CAD. These packs are sold separately from the Starter Pack.
