Can you believe it’s already been a year since the PlayStation 5 launched across the world? The year has flown by quickly and today marks a full 365 of PlayStation 5.
A lot has happened this year and Sony has delivered a ton of wonderful exclusive titles to consumers this year including Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, Returnal, Deathloop launched. Sony made studio acquisitions by adding Bluepoint Games, Firesprite, Housemarque, and Nixxes to their roster. A new PlayStation VR system is in the works, and there are a ton of sequels coming to some celebrated franchises, including God of War Ragnarok, Gran Turismo 7, and Horizon Forbidden West.
Speaking on the PlayStation Blog, CEO Jim Ryan recapped the past year for Sony and confirms PlayStation Studios has a ton of games in production. Ryan also revealed the top ten most played games on the PlayStation 5.
“PS5 gamers have collectively played more than 4.6 billion hours of gameplay on PS5 and broadcast more than 26 million hours of content. Here is a look at the top ten PS5 games played during PS5’s first year, based on gameplay hours,” says Ryan.
