Obsidian’s upcoming role-playing game, The Outer Worlds, is coming to Nintendo Switch, the Microsoft-owned developer confirmed today.
In what is a shocking announcement, we learn that the port is being handled by Virtuos and is published by Private Division. On a console where the games are limited b the hardware, it’s interesting to see how The Outer Worlds lines up, the Switch thus far has proven if ported correctly, there’s room for many types of games. We’ve seen it with Doom, Wolfenstein, and hopefully with The Outer Worlds.
The trailer released today featured producer Matthew Singh, over at Obsidian where he talks about their current project coming to switch, and as a way for their “type of experience, and being able to play it on the go.”
The Outer Worlds is out October 25, for PlayStation 4, Windows PC, and Xbox One. Unfortunately, the Nintendo Switch version won’t be out at the same time and will follow the launch of the other platforms.
