Who murdered Sonic?
In what feels like an early April Fools prank, Sega has announced a free visual novel is available on Steam today called The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog.

The description indicates that Amy Rose‘s birthday party is hosting a murder mystery party on the Mirage Express. None other than Sonic the Hedgehog becomes the victim and it is up to the guests to discover who the culprit is before the party is over. However, to ensure things aren’t too easy, something at the party feels off and whether or not the party is as innocent as it looks is up for debate.
We see some familiar faces at the party including Knuckles the Echidna, Rouge the Bat, Shadow the Hedgehog, Espio the Chameleon, and more. My most obvious guess would be Knuckles or Shadow, but Amy might be the one with the stomach to off the blue blur. I guess we’ll find out.
Sega indicates this visual novel isn’t canon, so don’t worry too much about when this occurs. We’re kicking off April Fools Day in style this year given that Sega is already off to an incredible start.
