The minigames in the Yakuza series have always been above and beyond anything you can play elsewhere. Looking at what is available in Yakuza 6, this doesn’t seem to change at all, with Kiryu being able to enjoy the batting cages, the arcades, and of course, mahjong.
The bustling city of Kamurocho, as well as Onomichi, provide various ways to pass the time as you’re making progress through the story. Taking breaks and engaging the world of Yakuza often benefits those who play by allowing you to see another shade of Japanese culture. There’s a cat cafe, you can play Puyo Puyo, even manage hostesses!
Yakuza 6: The Song of Life is out on March 6. 2018.
