The Kingdom Hearts Franchise is Coming to PC an Epic Game Store Exclusive

It’s safe to say a lot of Kingdom Hearts content is coming to the Epic Game Store next month. During a spring showcase for the digital storefront, Square Enix announced that Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 + 2.5 Remix, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8: Final Chapter Prologue, Kingdom Hearts III, and Kingdom Hearts: Melody of Memory would be making it’s way to PC exclusively on the Epic Game Store on March 30th.

When it comes, it will be the first time in the series’ 19 year history that the Kingdom Hearts franchise will be available on PC. If confused by the naming conventions don’t worry it basically means every playable Kingdom Hearts game on PS4 & Xbox One is making an epic debut on PC.

“It is truly a great pleasure to bring so many Kingdom Hearts adventures to PC gamers around the world,” Kingdom Hearts series producer Ichiro Hazama said.

“Our collaboration with Epic Games is one that stretches back to the development of Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and as part of this ongoing relationship, the team at Epic Games have been incredibly supportive in helping us make this a reality. I’m incredibly excited for so many new players to discover and enjoy the action, magic and friendship of Kingdom Hearts on PC.”

As for the series, our review of the last year’s ReMIND downloadable content was described as being a less than stellar follow-up to the trilogy’s conclusion. The added Limitcut Episode boss fights were disproportionate to the overall game’s difficulty and to even complete them was a chore.
