Let’s Recap Everything Shown At The Game Awards 2022
The Game Awards is once again back and this year we’re looking at a leaner version of Geoff Keighley’s award ceremony and hopefully, that ends up being true. Last year we saw Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two take the coveted Game of the Year award home. In 2022, there are several contenders for this year’s most prestigious and last award of the show that have an equal shot at winning it including Elden Ring, God of War Ragnarök, Xenoblade Chronicles 3, Horizon Forbidden West, A Plague Tale: Requiem, and Stray.
While developers’ hard work on the games that shined in 2022 should be recognized and we look forward to who brings home the gold, instead, we’re gonna cover the most exciting aspect of the Game Awards… the game announcements. Last year’s reveals had a solid mix of smaller indie titles like Have a Nice Death, Planet of Lana, and Thirsty Suitors. The same award show also introduced us to Sonic Frontiers, Star Wars Eclipse, Wonder Woman, and more.
What sort of surprises did Geoff Keighley cook up this year? Well, let’s find out together by recapping each game announcement and when they are coming plus give a look at them via a trailer from the show which you can see down below! The game award ceremony itself kicked off at 7:30 PM ET and took place at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles.
