While news of a Final Fantasy VII Remake Demo surfaced before Christmas last week, nothing official has been revealed as of this posting.
The news of a demo came from Gamstate, which is able to track items added to the PlayStation Store through the API. It’s also how Resident Evil 3 Remake was confirmed as being real earlier this year.
With so much buzz about the discovery of the PlayStation demo being talked about all over the web, it was only a matter of time before someone could get their hands on the files and get them working. Twitter user Raziel2001au discovered the file size of the demo, but a link to grab the files of the Final Fantasy VII Remake demo, which was encrypted.
Over on YouTube, the opening video for the remake has been uploaded by user Lystrasza, which features the first three and a half minutes and includes the iconic opening theme.
Whether or not you want to check out the opening is up to you because it is certainly worth waiting for.
