The Duskbloods Network Test Ends Before It Even Begins

Fans who signed up earlier this summer for The Duskbloods network test will have to wait a bit longer to get in.

Today is the official first day of the network test for the upcoming Switch 2 exclusive developed by FromSoftware. And like many anxiously waiting to play, no one was able to actually get in, as the developer announced that the first day’s session was over.

“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused to those who were waiting for the first The Duskbloods network test due to game server issues,” a statement reads. “We regret to inform you that today’s session is now closed. We will continue to work on improving the servers and will announce future schedules at a later date.”

I logged in early this morning in an attempt to see what this PvPvE game would entail and was hit with the “Failed to log in to The Duskbloods game server. Select ‘OK’ to attempt to log in again” error message. Despite trying for over an hour, I waited, had breakfast and a coffee, and even did some chores. Then, I learned that the first day was a bust and no one was playing.

So tonight, I’ll try again when the second network test of the day is scheduled to begin. However, I’m feeling a bit uneasy because, if this morning is anything to go by, I don’t expect I’ll be able to get into the next session or the one after.

And with Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s beta kicking off today, I’m already setting aside time to see if this year’s version is better than the last Modern Warfare. I realize that The Duskbloods is likely out sometime between now and early 2027, but it’s hard not to get excited when FromSoftware has a new game about to launch. Even a day with it would satisfy the thirst for a new game from the developers behind Elden Ring.
