The Division Welcomes Julian Gerighty As Its New Executive Producer

Julian Gerighty is back to the franchise for the first time in years

One of the names behind the first The Division games is returning to help lead the team that will craft another sequel.

On a Ubisoft Blog update, the company announced that Julian Gerighty is returning to the brand as Executive Producer. Gerighty is knee-deep in work on the upcoming Star Wars game, Star Wars Outlaws, as their Creative Director.

“A core focus of Gerighty’s is to build a team for Tom Clancy’s The Division 3, which will be led by Massive Entertainment while making sure Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 remains well supported. Outside of that, his attention will be on solidifying brand identity.”

Julian Gerighty is no stranger to The Division brand, as he was a part of Massive Entertainment when they launched the original game and became Creative Director for The Division 2. Ubisoft says he will oversee the next numbered sequel, the mobile game Tom Clancy’s The Division Resurgence, and a survival shooter called Tom Clancy’s The Division Heartland.

It appears as though Ubisoft’s team is serious about growing this franchise and brand. And that’s not only because of the aforementioned titles, “The Division is still in its early years as a franchise. There are many incredible stories to tell, places to explore and people to protect.”

The new Executive Producer was also quoted in the post saying, “There are a huge number of talented developers currently working on the brand, and I think that having more consistency can only make everybody’s work sing.”
