Publisher Devolver Digital and developer Deconstructeam has announced their next game, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood which is a narrative adventure game from the minds that brought you Gods Will Be Watching and The Red Strings Club.
Veteran and new players to the game studio alike can expect a decade-spanning story as you play The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood from the perspective of Fortuna who is a witch living alone after being exiled by the leader of her coven to an unexpected locale. That being an asteroid in outer space of all places, it’s here Fortuna forms a pact with an unlikely creature as she attempts to reclaim her freedom all the while reconnecting with her witch friends and new ones as well in a “richly diverse cast of characters.”
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is described as “explore[ing] themes of identity, community, and personal responsibility in a beautifully hand-crafted universe” in a branching story that goes beyond space and time. Throughout the game, Fortuna will dive into a multitude of topics around her coven as she unveils “a political plot that will define the fate of the Cosmic Witch society.”
In gameplay, Players will be able to craft a unique set of tarot cards which will reveal hundreds of possibilities that will help you understand the fate of the characters you’ll interact with in the game. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood also features a beautifully hand-crafted pixel art style, alongside the game’s over three-hour soundtrack from composer fingerspit.
The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is scheduled to launch on PC and Nintendo Switch consoles sometime in 2023.
