The Best Selling Tales of Series Games Have Been Revealed and Ranked Across All Regions

Bandai Namco has officially released the data on what games in its Tales of  series took the crown of the best selling game across multiple regions which include North America, Europe, Japan/Asia and Worldwide.

The data was released alongside multiple top list videos on the series’ official YouTube channel and is all apart of celebrating the Tales of series’ 25th anniversary. The official top 10 rankings in sales are the first time we’ve ever got a glimpse – according to the series’ publisher, Bandai Namco – of how the series has done in each region.

Worldwide Best Selling Games

  1. Tales of Symphonia – 2,400,000 units
  2. Tales of Vesperia – 2,370,000 units
  3. Tales of Destiny – 1,720,000 units
  4. Tales of Zestiria
  5. Tales of Berseria
  6. Tales of Phantasia
  7. Tales of the Abyss
  8. Tales of Eternia
  9. Tales of Xillia
  10. Tales of Destiny 2

North America Best Selling Games

  1. Tales of Symphonia – 940,000 units
  2. Tales of Vesperia – 810,000 units
  3. Tales of Zestiria – 600,000 units
  4. Tales of Berseria
  5. Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World (including Tales of Symphonia Chronicles)
  6. Tales of Xillia
  7. Tales of the Abyss

Europe Best Selling Games

  1. Tales of Zestiria – 481,000 units
  2. Tales of Symphonia – 480,000 units

It’s super interesting to see how the series does and how the top games differ in each region. Other previously mentioned videos in the 25th-anniversary celebration include top 20 favourite characterstop 20 favourite villains and top 10 emotion scenes, the data from those were gathered from a Tales of series’ 25th-anniversary survey. 

It’s only early days in the 25th anniversary but I do hope the celebration culminates in the future of the series. More specifically a better idea when fans can get their hands on the next entry in the series, Tales of Arise, which was delayed to 2021 but we are supposed to get more information on it this spring.
