Terror at Oakheart

Terror at Oakheart Is A Call Back To Classic Slasher Films, Arrives This Month

Release set for February 27th on PC

“In a world…”

Not only does Terror at Oakheart begin with a classic movie trailer line, but it’s purposely invoking those 80’s and 90’s slasher horror classics in nearly every aspect.

The upcoming horror-mystery game from developer Tainted Pact and publisher Assemble Entertainment follows a cast of characters (just like classic slashers) trying to survive and figure out why Teddy is on a killing spree in Oakheart.

Whether it’s Jason Vorhees, Freddy Krueger, Michael Myers, or countless others, the team is putting together a pixelated package of blood, gore, and fun.

The trailer gives us hints of what’s to come in Terror at Oakheart. With Teddy wreaking havoc on the characters who are trying to put a stop to his wild ways. He’s ” a psychotic serial murderer under the sway of a Lovecraftian beast” and he must be stopped!

I love me some Oxenfree 2 type storytelling and thriller vibes, but this game seems like it’s really hitting the nostalgia head on and having fun with the gore and storytelling. The solo developer Tainted Pact has a passion for horror and horror games and has released a number of other indie titles in the past including Suffer the Night and Meat Saw.

Terror at Oakheart demo is available now on Steam where you can play the first chapter. The full game is scheduled for release on February 27th.
