If you are a JRPG junkie like me, chances are you’ve spent every available hour this week getting lost in the Renan-occupied world of Dahna in Bandai-Namco’s Tales of Arise.
Well, it would appear there are more of us enjoying the Tales of series currently than ever before in the series’ 25-year run because Tales of Arise has gone gold with over a million copies sold physically and digitally in just under a week!
What an achievement! And one that could not have happened without you! Here's to 1 million copies of Tales of Arise sold with an illustration of our favourite ship, Alphen and Shionne by Character Designer Iwamoto! #TalesofArise #BandaiNamco pic.twitter.com/wMYYQXSJWc

Well, predecessor Tales of Berseria must have seen that success and said to itself, but wait, there’s more! The game that first debuted in Japan in the summer of 2016 and then everywhere else right at the start of 2017 has now officially sold two million copies.
How could things get any better for the Tokyo titan that is Bandai-Namco? Easy! The developer’s much-loved Tales of Vesperia: Definitive Edition has now sold 1.5 million copies. When added to the original base game’s sales, you arrive at an impressive 2.8 million grand total sales.
If you want to be even more impressed, over its whole 25-year lifetime, the company now boasts that total sales of the Tales series across all titles have hit 25 million!
Now if you need me, I’m heading back to Dahna to fight some Renan lords.
