The next entry in the Tales franchise getting the remaster treatment is a more recent one with Banadai Namco announcing Tales of Berseria Remastered for PC, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch that’s aiming to launch on February 27t, 2026, which is less than six months from the game’s 10th anniversary PS3 and PS4 launch in Japan.
“In Tales of Berseria Remastered, players will follow the journey of Velvet Crowe as she embarks on a journey of vengeance and uncovers the mystery behind her brother’s murder. Players will embark on a tale torn between emotion and reason, where Velvet and her comrades slash through everyone in their path and navigate through emotional bonds and betrayal,” Bandai Namco describes Tales of Berseria Remastered in a press release.
Tales of Berseria Remastered is the fourth game in its remaster project, updating previously released Tales games to make them easier to pick up and play on more modern platforms. It is set to feature improved graphics, audio, controls, and movement speed. Like previous remasters – Tales of Symphonia Remastered, Tales of Graces f Remastered and the most recent Tales of Xillia Remastered – Tales of Berseria Remastered will include quality of life features including auto-saving, the addition of shortcuts to menu navigation, new objective main story progression markers with the option to turn them off, highlighted NPC sub-events, treasure chests and other items showing up on the map, disabling enemy encounters, and much more.
Those who pre-order Tales of Berseria Remastered will receive a bonus Super Adventuring Assistance pack that comes with 10 sets of Apple Gel, Peach Gel, Life Bottle, and Panacea Bottle. A deluxe edition will also be released and comes with a Battle Background Music Pack, a digital art book and soundtrack, and a Super Growth Support Herb pack.

If Tales fans were hoping for the next remaster from the franchise to be Tales of Abyss, Tales of Innocence, Tales of Rebirth, or any other older entry in the franchise, it might be a while before they’ll be able to play them on modern platforms. It looks like Bandai Namco is focusing more on modernizing the HD-era games in the Tales franchise, as they are easier to develop and release, rather than the older, beloved entries that honestly need a remaster more. After the remasters of Tales of Xillia 2 and Tales of Zestiria are assumedly announced, maybe that’s when Bandai Namco will pull the trigger on the remasters of the older titles, but we’ll have to wait and see.
