Bandai Namco confirmed today that the upcoming Tales of Arise is no longer hitting a 2020 launch window.
The news was confirmed on the publisher’s European blog site that the latest title in the Tales of series is delayed into 2021. As for the reasoning behind the delay, it’s related to COVID-19 and the complications of working from home while in active development.
“The goal for Tales of Arise is to provide a familiar but innovative gameplay experience to fans of the series while pushing the technical envelope to deliver a high level of graphical quality to impress both long-time players and those who have never played a Tales Of game.” Bandai Namco says, “While COVID-19 has affected some aspects of development, we’ve done our best to adapt to the situation and have implemented remote development capabilities for our team.”
Tales of Arise will now launch at a later date in 2021.
